Nebraska Cornhuskers trending for two top in-state prospects
Two of the top players in Nebraska are announcing their college destinations tomorrow. Four-star wide receiver Dae’vonn Hall and three-star wide receiver Isaiah McMorris — teammates at Bellevue (Neb.) Bellevue West — will be committing at 10:30 a.m. Central Time.
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, both players are trending to Nebraska. Sean Callahan and Bryan Munson have each placed expert predictions in favor of the Cornhuskers for Hall (97.2%) and McMorris (95.5%).
“Nebraska has always been in the picture for both Dae’Vonn Hall and Isaiah McMorris, but there are some things that helped things come together during the last official visit of June before the dead period ends,” Munson said. “First, Nebraska picked up a commitment from their high school quarterback teammate Daniel Kaelin, who participated in the Elite 11 Finals.
“Two, Nebraska wide receivers coach Garret McGuire really stepped up the communication with both Hall and McMorris going back to April. Things have finally aligned for Nebraska and the Bellevue West wide receivers. The Huskers may have a Thunderbirds offensive trio in their 2024 class with Kaelin, Hall, and McMorris.”
Both Hall and McMorris will be taking an official to Lincoln this weekend. At the moment, Nebraska’s 2024 recruiting class is No. 30 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 8 in the Big Ten.
Hall is the No. 373 overall prospect and No. 60 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Nebraska.
Meanwhile, McMorris is the No. 433 overall prospect and No. 75 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He is also the No. 3 player in Nebraska.

Landing Hall and McMorris would continue Nebraska’s recruiting momentum
It has been a good month on the recruiting trail for Nebraska. Since June 8, head coach Matt Rhule and his staff have landed commitments from DeSoto (Texas) four-star cornerback Mario Buford, Waxhaw (N.C.) Cuthbertson three-star cornerback Evan Taylor, Pearland (Texas) Shadow Creek three-star linebacker Braylen Prude and Omaha (Neb.) Omaha North three-star safety Donovan Jones.
Broomfield (Colo.) three-star interior offensive lineman Landen Davidson, Cedar Falls (Iowa) three-star interior offensive lineman Jake Peters, Topeka (Kan.) Seaman three-star safety Callen Barta and Westminster (Md.) Winters Mill three-star punter Kamdyn Koch have also pledged to the Cornhuskers since then.
Nebraska has also been finding success at keeping high school players in-state. Three of the top-10 players in the state are currently committed to the Cornhuskers in Jones, Kaelin and Elkhorn (Neb.) Elkhorn South three-star defensive lineman Ashton Murphy.
The RPM also lists Nebraska as the favorite for the top five uncommitted prospects in the Cornhusker State: Hall, McMorris, Ainsworth (Neb.) four-star tight end Carter Nelson, Omaha (Neb.) Central three-star offensive tackle Caleb Pyfrom and Omaha (Neb.) Westside three-star safety Caleb Benning.
