Nebraska EDGE Kai Wallin plans to enter NCAA Transfer Portal

Nebraska EDGE Kai Wallin plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, he announced on his Twitter page on Wednesday evening. He tallied four tackles and 0.5 sack this season for the Cornhuskers in limited action.
“Dear Husker Nation,”
“I am so thankful for the last two years at UNL. From the strangers who have become friends, my teammates who have become family, and the fans who lift us all up with their unwavering support regardless of weather, location, time-of-day, or wins/losses….thank you. The places I have seen, the things I have learned, I am grateful for it all,” Wallin wrote in his post.
“None of this would have been possible without the Man above, and I acknowledge and thank Him for the opportunity to play for this great state. I also want to give much deserved credit to the Husker Football coaches and staff for the guidance and support that has helped me develop into the player I am today,” Wallin continued.

“With that being said, I have deliberated, consulted and prayed about my football future, and have decided to enter the transfer portal with my next two years of eligibility. While I hope to continue to grow and evolve, and make an impact on a new field, I will never forget the honor it was to wear a Nebraska jersey,” Wallin finished.
“#HuskerNation I love you, #GoBigRed”
Coming out of Jesuit High School (Sacramento, California), Wallin was rated as a three-star prospect and was ranked as the No. 61 overall player in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
