Nebraska linebacker Randolph Kpai has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 learned Sunday evening. He spent the past three seasons with the Cornhuskers but did not appear in any games.

Kpai came to Nebraska in 2021 as a four-star prospect out of Washington High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He ranked as the No. 282 overall player and No. 31 linebacker in the 2021 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was also the No. 1 player from the state of South Dakota.

The 6-foot-2, 210 pound linebacker chose to play for the Cornhuskers over offers from Oregon, Iowa, Minnesota and several others. It will be interesting to see if any of those programs make an effort to reach out now that he’s looking for a new team.

Randolph Kpai’s decision to enter the transfer portal comes right before the Jan. 2 deadline to do so. He is the 10th Nebraska player to make the move, joining others such as quarterback Chubba Purdy and receiver Barron Miles.
