Nebraska Cornhuskers offensive lineman Jacob Hood has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned.

Prior to joining Matt Rhule’s bunch, Hood spent time with the Georgia Bulldogs. Now, he’ll be moving on to a different program for the 2025 campaign, evidently.

Moreover, Hood played high school football at Hillsboro (TN), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 485 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Arik Gilbert was ranked as the top tight end and No. 5 overall player in the country in the class of 2020, per the On3 Industry rankings.

Gilbert was arrested twice in 2023, including for a smash-and-grab burglary. He left the Cornhuskers team not long after his arrest. The Georgia native originally signed with LSU out of high school. As a freshman in 2020 he caught 35 passes for 368 yards and two touchdowns.

Arik Gilbert then transferred to Georgia ahead of the 2021 season. He didn’t play for the Bulldogs in 2021, before playing in three games and making two catches in 2022. After that he transferred to Nebraska but did not play in a game for the Cornhuskers.

There is no doubt that Gilbert is talented. It will be interesting to see where he ends up next and if he can stay out of trouble.
