Cornhuskers offer in-state OT Brock Knutson
One of the more highly recruited prospects in recent years out of Western Nebraska received an offer from the state’s flagship program Saturday. Scottsbluff (Neb.) offensive tackle Brock Knutson announced his offer from Nebraska on Twitter Saturday after attending the Cornhuskers’ spring game.
This weekend marked Knutson’s third unofficial visit to Lincoln, matching his visit total with Iowa State. Past visits include trips to Kansas State, Wyoming and FCS powerhouse North Dakota State. The Cornhuskers and Cyclones are currently deadlocked according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Both have a 34.3% chance to land Knutson’s commitment.
Knutson, a multi-sport athlete who qualified for state in the shot put in addition to his gridiron success, comes from a wrestling family. His father was a three-time state champion. His grandfather brought home two state titles.

Huskers off to strong start in 2023
Already five commitments in the 2023 cycle, Nebraska has started off strong as the No. 25 class in the country according to the On3 Consensus Team Rankings. Those five commitments include one offensive tackle, hometown Lincoln (Neb.) three-star Gunnar Gottula. Gottula is the No. 38 offensive tackle in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. A commitment from Brock Knutson would give Nebraska three offensive linemen in its 2023 class.
