Nebraska safety Myles Farmer charged with DUI
Nebraska starting safety Myles Farmer was arrested Saturday on a DUI charge, On3 has learned. He was cited by the Lincoln Police Department and will face a court date as a result.
Farmer, who’s played more snaps than any other Nebraska defender this year, ranks second on the Cornhuskers with 62 tackles this season — more than double his total from last year. He also has a tackle for loss and an interception to his name this year.

Nebraska interim head coach Mickey Joseph released a statement about the situation, saying Farmer is suspended for Saturday’s game against Michigan.
“I was informed on Sunday morning of an incident involving Myles Farmer this weekend,” Joseph stated. “Myles is a good young man, but understands he used poor judgement and made a mistake on Saturday night. The result of poor judgement and mistakes is consequences and discipline. In addition to penalties he may face through the legal system, Myles is suspended for this week’s game at Michigan and will be subject to internal discipline.”

During his career in Lincoln, Farmer has 101 total tackles, four interceptions and 1.5 sacks over nearly four years. He’s a former three-star recruit and was the No. 64 safety recruit from the class of 2019, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Last week against Minnesota, Farmer had a season-high 14 tackles as Nebraska fell to the Golden Gophers 20-13 at Memorial Stadium. The loss dropped the Cornhuskers to 3-6 on the season, cutting their hopes for a bowl game heading into this week’s game against Michigan in Ann Arbor. That game kicks off Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET from The Big House on ABC.
