Nebraska TE Ian Flynt enters NCAA transfer portal

Nebraska tight end Ian Flynt entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. He spent just one year with the Huskers.
Flynt just played in one game last season while redshirting. He made his debut against UTEP but will maintain four years of eligibility wherever he goes next.
As a member of the Class of 2024, Flynt was a three-star recruit out of Katy (Texas) Taylor, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 116 overall prospect in the state, the No. 43 tight end in the class and the No. 756 overall prospect in the class.

Nebraska has plenty of TE movement with Ian Flynt, NFL Draft
More Nebraska tight ends were in the news, not just Flynt. Former Huskers TE Thomas Fidone II was selected in the 7th round of the NFL Draft by the New York Giants.
This past season, Fidone had career highs. He put up 36 catches for 373 yards, but did not catch a touchdown. He had four touchdown receptions in 2023.
In total, Fidone had 61 catches for 633 yards, four touchdowns and 10.4 yards per catch. He did not play in 2022 and played 25 of 26 games over the course of his final two seasons.
As a member of the Class of 2021, Fidone was a four-star recruit out of Council Bluffs (Iowa) Lewis Central, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the N. 1 overall prospect in the state, the No. 2 tight end in the class and the No. 67 overall prospect in the class.
