One of the top rising defensive backs in the 2025 cycle will make his way to Lincoln in the coming months.

Phoenix Mountain Pointe four-star safety Rylon Dillard-Allen will take an official visit to Nebraska on the weekend of April 26, he tells On3’s Chad Simmons. It will be his first visit with the Huskers.

“I’ve been talking to them pretty frequently since they’ve offered. I’ve been talking to Coach White, the DC and Coach Cooper the secondary coach,” Dillard-Allen told Simmons.

Dillard-Allen is the No. 385 overall prospect and No. 31 safety in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 3 player in Arizona.

On3 ranks Dillard-Allen higher than other recruiting services. The 6-foot, 165-pounder checks in as the No. 199 recruit, No. 17 safety and the No. 1 player in his home state, per the 2025 On300.

In 2023, Arizona, Arizona State and Oregon got Dillard-Allen on campus for an unofficial visit. He told Simmons in November that he was still taking his time working through his recruitment.

“I would say early playing time and then location a little bit,” Dillard-Allen said were factors in his recruitment. “And obviously, NIL money is kind of involved, so obviously how much money you can get.”

More on Nebraska Cornhuskers recruiting

The Huskers currently have just three in-state commitments in the 2025 cycle. Omaha Millard North three-star safety Caden VerMaas, Omaha North three-star defensive lineman Tyson Terry and Wahoo Bishop Neumann three-star running back Conor Booth make up the trio of pledges.

Nebraska hit it big on the recruiting trail in December, as it flipped Buford (Ga.) five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola from Georgia. The No. 3 signal-caller in the cycle now headlines a group of 27 signees — resulting in the No. 24 class in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Logan (Iowa) Magnolia four-star interior offensive lineman Grant Brix flanks as a fellow top-100 recruit. Other top signees in the class for Rhule and Co. include DeSoto (Texas) four-star cornerback Mario Buford, Altair (Texas) Rice Consolidated three-star safety Roger Gradney and Bellevue (Neb.) West three-star wide receiver Dae’vonn Hall.
