3-star DL Sua Lefotu commits to Nebraska
Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco three-star defensive lineman Sua Lefotu has announced his commitment to Nebraska. He chose the Cornhuskers following an official visit to Lincoln on the weekend of Jan. 21.
Lefotu is the No. 1,290 overall prospect and No. 132 defensive lineman in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 119 player in California.
Before choosing Nebraska, the 6-foot-4, 285-pound recruit was committed to Washington. He backed off his pledge to the Huskies on Nov. 2.

Nebraska’s 2023 recruiting class now has commitments from four defensive linemen. They are Lefotu, Argyle (Texas) four-star Riley Van Poppel, Harrisburg (Penn.) Central Dauphin East three-star Vincent Carroll-Jackson and Texas A&M transfer Elijah Jeudy.
Lefotu has an On3 NIL Valuation of $5.6K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
