Will Compton mercilessly roasts Paul Finebaum over his rant on Nebraska, Matt Rhule

After SEC Network host Paul Finebaum eviscerated Nebraska and Matt Rhule on live television Friday, former Cornhusker football player Will Compton fired back with a spiteful Twitter video cursing and name-calling Finebaum.

Compton played a clip of Finebaum’s comments the day before in his Twitter video, where he ripped into Matt Rhule and Nebraska after the Cornhusker coach had asserted that the Big Ten is the best and most NFL-adjacent conference and should get automatic bids to the College Football Playoff.

“Don’t worry about the big boys, because you’re not one of them,” Finebaum said in the clip provided by Compton. “We saw what you did in the NFL, you were a complete disaster in Carolina. You somehow got this job in Nebraska and you’re talking like you belong at the table with Ohio State and Georgia. You don’t!”

Following that clip, a disgruntled Compton showed up on camera to ask: “Who the **** is Paul Finney-baum?” while intentionally mispronouncing Finebaum’s name.

“Don’t worry about the big boys?” Compton mimicked. “Brother, I bet you can’t get 135 off your chest for a rep,” he added, before explaining why the SEC Network pundit is wrong about the Huskers.

“Acting like we don’t belong at the table with Ohio State and Georgia? We were four (flashes four fingers) FOUR plays away from being 9-3 last year,” declared Compton. “This year, we’re revamped, we’re reloaded, we’re bringing back like damn near the entire defense. We’re a better football team.”

Compton’s tirade took a turn as he just mercilessly went in on Finebaum personally.

“You Smeagol-bodied mother—” Compton began to say before telling himself, “Stay cool, no need to throw attacks at him.” Nonetheless, attacks kept coming.

“But also, keep Coach Rhule’s name out of your mouth. There’s no need to talk about his coaching years at Carolina. There’s no need for that nastiness. So, kindly, and I speak on behalf of probably everybody, shut the **** up you bald-head-emoji-looking ass.”

Compton also posted his video on Twitter with the emoji in reference as part of the tweet. But overall, Will Compton says he’s happy to see that Nebraska is ruffling feathers down in SEC country.

“It’s good to see that the SEC is already throwing attacks like this at the Big Red. Already getting scared that the Big Ten is taking over as the dominant conference in the league,” he added.

The Big Red certainly had Paul Finebaum up in arms on Friday morning, when he issued the comments referenced by Compton. But Compton himself also got pretty animated over a pretty small snippet from Paul Finebum.
