Jackson Keith, the No. 2 ranked player in the state of North Carolina for the junior class, will be in attendance for the UNC game Saturday night, he told On3. The Tar Heels will take on archrival Duke.

The 6-foot-5 small forward out of Durham (NC) Southern High recently spoke to On3’s Jamie Shaw about the Tar Heels.

“They have not offered yet, but I believe they’re close,” Keith said. “When I talk with Coach (Hubert) Davis, I mean, he is a great guy. He treats me like family, he treats my family like family. We almost never talk about basketball. We always talk about other stuff, something fun, maybe like making fun or something like that. Our conversations are very good.”

Keith holds currently offers from NC State, Wake Forest, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Illinois, Virginia Tech, SMU, LSU, and others.

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Keith is the No. 75 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle. He’s also the No. 17 small forward prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Keith’s timeframe for a decision / what he’s looking for in a school

“Right now, I’m focusing on this season, go as far as we can, and keep getting better,” Jackson Keith said. “As I transition from high school to AAU, then I’l start looking at times I can get to these schools and go on some visits. I don’t have a time frame or anything yet, but I know that the schools that are the most consistent with me will be my top priority.

“I want to go into a program that will let me be me. I’ll want to have fun, having fun, and playing basketball, those are my priorities. Whichever program I feel I can have the most fun and we are winning games, and putting in the work, that will be where I want to go. I think I can play in any style of play really, so as I go on these visits, I’m going to look at the family fit and a group of guys that play really hard and a coach that is going to work us, that is what I will do.”

Scouting Report

“Jackson Keith is a confident wing. Standing around 6-foot-5, he can handle, get into his spots, and shoot with range. The jump shot can get a little flat at times, but he has good footwork in the mid-range. He is confident as a secondary initiator and can get a team into sets. Keith is a solid athlete, still growing into his frame. He is trending as a national level-type recruit.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
