Bill Belichick email reveals UNC coach asked for his girlfriend to be on staff emails

Legendary NFL coach Bill Belichick is trying his hand at coaching in the college rankings with the North Carolina Tar Heels. He hasn’t gone there alone, though, taking trusted coaches and administrators with him, to go along with his girlfriend Jordon Hudson.

Much has been made of the relationship, with Hudson, 24, compared to the 72-year-old Belichick. However, the couple appears happy together, appearing in several places, including a Dunkin Donuts ad and on the NFL Honors red carpet.

Now, it appears Hudson is involved with even more at UNC than just being Belichick’s girlfriend. As reported by Matt Hartman, Belichick is having her included on staff emails at UNC. That’s despite not being a member of the coaching staff.

“Thank you for the e-mail. I am including Jordon on this email so she can keep up with our postings. Can you include her on anything you send to me? Thank you,” Belichick wrote, signing off with his initials.

This comes after it was reported in February that Hudson is acting as a “de facto agent” for Belichick. At the time, former ESPN reporter Pablo Torre shared, “[Hudson is] the person who you need to go through to book Bill Belichick for a Super Bowl commercial or for the other commitments he has as a multi-platform personality. She’s the gateway.”

Certainly, plenty of people have had their personal thoughts on the relationship between Belichick and Hudson. Much of that also comes from the age gap between them. Saturday Night Live recently took a shot at the couple during their Weekend Update segment.

“Last week, the U.S. appeals court blocked a Biden-era student debt relief plan, which means the only way for young people to pay off their student loans is by dating Bill Belichick,” Michael Che said. A photo of the couple appeared on screen as he told the joke.

Snoop Dogg has also made jokes about the couple. He did so at NFL Honors in front of the couple, drawing laughs and gaps when he said, “Bill Belichick’s girlfriend wasn’t even born yet,” on stage as a joke about when the Dallas Cowboys were good.

For North Carolina fans, the hope is that Bill Belichick is going to be able to balance his life properly so that he is able to have a private life and a work life that leads to him being successful with the Tar Heels. Spring practice is now underway in that endeavor and fans are hoping to get a feeling that the team is trending in the right direction sooner than later.
