Former Colorado WR Adrian Wilson has committed to transfer to North Carolina, On3 has learned. That news comes per On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Thursday.

Wilson has been committed to TCU, Oregon, Arizona State, and Colorado over the past two years on the recruiting trail with several decommitments and flips. However, coming out of his first spring period, this will be his first to do so in the transfer portal, as, after entering yesterday, Wilson has committed less than a day later to UNC.

Because of that, Wilson will never see any action for the Buffaloes. He’ll now, though, coming from Boulder to Chapel Hill, have four years of collegiate eligibility left.

Coming out of high school in the 2025 cycle, Wilson, a Pflugerville, Texas native, was the No. 308 player and a four-star prospect. He also rated in the Top 50 as a wide receiver and out of the state. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. That made him their second-highest-rated commitment in their class behind only QB JuJu Lewis (No. 56).

Wilson is the latest portal transaction involving Colorado. The Buffs have been busy the past week with other departures from RB Isaiah Augustave and DB Savion Riley with the opening of the spring window but with the additions also of OL Xavier Hill (Memphis) and WR Sincere Brown (Campbell) since Saturday.

Wilson, a Top 350 transfer and the No. 60 WR per the latest in On3’s Industry Ranking of 2025’s Top Transfer Portal Players, is now the latest addition of this offseason for the Tar Heels. He is their second pickup in the spring, as North Carolina also added LB Mikai Gbayor (Missouri) on Wednesday. UNC, though, has also lost seven transfers since yesterday’s window opened, with QB Ryan Browne (Purdue), WR Christian Hamilton, OT Zach Rice, and three linebackers with Malaki Hamrick, Cade Law, and Crews Law. DL Joel Starlings also entered his name later on Thursday morning.

Wilson has been connected to a handful of programs over the past two years. He’ll now hope to stick with this one going into the start of his college career now at North Carolina.
