Florida DL transfer D'antre Robinson commits to North Carolina

Former Florida defensive lineman D’antre Robinson has committed to North Carolina, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Robinson, who entered the portal on April 24, will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Robinson totaled 16 tackles during his lone season with the Gators. He recorded one sack during the 2024 season.
Before college, Robinson was a four-star recruit according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the No. 267 overall recruit in his class and the No. 27 overall defensive lineman. Robinson also ranked as the No. 32 overall player out of his home state of Florida.

Florida S Gregory Smith III enters transfer portal
Robinson isn’t the only Gators defender to recently enter the NCAA transfer portal. Earlier this month, Florida safety Gregory Smith III announced his plan to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. The 6 foot 4, 217-pounder will have four years of eligibility remaining.

During his freshman season in 2024, Smith totaled five tackles, as well as one pass breakup. He appeared in three games for the Gators with his most notable being a three-tackle performance during the 31-11 win over Florida State in November. Smith also appeared in the Gasparilla Bowl victory against Tulane.
Smith was able to preserve his redshirt having played in those three games. He will be a redshirt freshman at his next destination.

He was the No. 261 overall player in the 2024 cycle and No. 18 safety. Smith chose Florida over the likes of Ole Miss, Virginia, and Vanderbilt.
Florida finished the 2024-25 campaign with an 8-5 overall record, which included a 4-4 record against SEC competition. The Gators on the final four games of the season after a 4-5 start to the year.
