The North Carolina Tar Heels are 9-1 overall and in the middle of one of their most successful seasons since 2015. They’re getting ready to face the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, who will be without their star quarterback Jeff Sims. He’s out indefinitely as he deals with a foot injury. Sims is one of the better dual-threat quarterbacks in the conference–so his loss is massive for the Georgia Tech offense. Zach Gibson will start at quarterback for the Yellow Jackets on Saturday.

Tar Heels fans have been showing up all season long for their team and turns out the school has announced this weekend’s matchup is a sell-out, too.

North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye has put up flawless numbers during his debut season of college football

North Carolina has sold out every home game thus far this season. And why wouldn’t Tar Heel fans be excited? They’ve got one of the best quarterbacks in school history suiting up in Drake Maye, so they need to appreciate every moment he straps his pads on. Not only that, more than likely, he’s off to the NFL after the 2023 season to enter the 2024 NFL Draft. He’s been drawing plenty of attention already and that will only continue to grow as he continues to put up near flawless numbers across the board.

His stats are pretty remarkable and it’s just easier to show a graphic with them. Check out his stats thus far from the 2022 season.
