The North Carolina Tar Heels’ basketball team has won five of their last six games and on Friday night they decided to unveil some special throwback uniforms they’ll be rocking against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish for Saturday morning’s game. Tip-off for that one is slated for 11:30 AM EST.

Check them out below.

They’ll be rocking the white jerseys with the Carolina blue numbers and letters. The foot logo in the bottom right corner is a nice touch and the jerseys look sharp.

While North Carolina might have struggled out of the gates, there is still plenty of time before March Madness and plenty of their players are playing the way they should be. R.J. Davis erupted for 27 points against Wake Forest in a 88-79 victory.

North Carolina big man Armando Bacot has looked like everyone expected him to this season, even though he’s dealt with a number of nagging injuries. When healthy, he’s proven to be a double-double machine time and time again. He’s been averaging 18.6 points per game, 11.1 rebounds per game, and 1.3 blocks per game for the ‘Heels. Not only that, but he also endeared himself to North Carolina fans forever for saying that he would die for the ‘Heels.

North Carolina forward Leaky Black also pumped in a career-high 18 points on six of eight shooting from the field against Wake Forest. It’s got to be encouraging for North Carolina fans to see their stars delivering performances they expect from them. The college basketball season is quite long, and March is still two months away, so there is plenty of time to continue to position themselves for the postseason.

The Ohio State performance was encouraging for the ‘Heels, as well. North Carolina defeated Ohio State 89-84 in overtime and got monster performances from the two guys that have routinely delivered for them over the years, Armando Bacot (28 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists) and Caleb Love (22 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists).
