Report: Concern growing at UNC regarding Jordon Hudson influence over Bill Belichick tenure

There could be some drama brewing in Chapel Hill regarding new coach Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. According to a report from TMZ, people within the North Carolina program are becoming concerned with the influence that Hudson has.
She allegedly stormed out of a recent sit-down interview that Belichick did with Tony Dokoupil of CBS to promote his new book, delaying shooting for nearly 30 minutes. The report also states that Hudson, who was seated off to the side, would often interrupt when the coach was answering questions to correct him.
One such instance made the final edit of the interview and occurred when Dokoupil asked Belichick about how the couple met. Before he could answer, Hudson cut in and said “we’re not talking about this.”
A source close to the situation told TMZ that there is a “growing sense this could become a problem” among people at UNC. Earlier this month, a report revealed Hudson is listed as the chief operating officer (COO) of Belichick Productions. However, she is not currently listed in any official capacity on North Carolina’s athletic department online staff directory according to the team’s website.
That probe came after Belichick requested UNC athletic department staff copy Hudson in all emails involving him. The internal emails also revealed some of Hudson’s more pressing concerns, mostly involving how Belichick is being perceived by the outside world, and that the UNC administration is doing everything it can to shield him from criticism, especially on team-controlled social media accounts.

“Thank you for the e-mail. I am including Jordon on this email so she can keep up with our postings. Can you include her on anything you send to me? Thank you,” Belichick wrote, signing off with his initials.
It was reported in February that Hudson is acting as a “de facto agent” for Belichick. At the time, former ESPN reporter Pablo Torre shared, “[Hudson is] the person who you need to go through to book Bill Belichick for a Super Bowl commercial or for the other commitments he has as a multi-platform personality. She’s the gateway.”
Hudson is a former cheerleader at Bridgewater University, and TMZ reported last year that Belichick initially met her when she was still in college and he signed one of her textbooks. Of course, her response in the recent interview now calls into question the exact story.
Regardless, it appears there is some worry as to exactly how much she will be involved in the coach’s professional life. Belichick is prepared to enter his first season with the Tar Heels following a 24-year tenure with the NFL’s New England Patriots, winning six Super Bowls.
