UAB OT Jordan Hall has signed with North Carolina out of the NCAA Transfer Portal on Thursday, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

Hall spent the past two seasons with the Blazers. He redshirted after not appearing as a true freshman before seeing 213 snaps over a dozen games played, with one being a start, this past fall for the Blazers.

Hall, a Columbus native, played high school football at KIPP Columbus. He was a Top-1,500 recruit there as a three-star in the 2023 cycle. He also rated as a Top-100 offensive tackle in the class and a Top-50 prospect out of the state of Ohio. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

At first, Hall was committed to play for Deion Sanders at Jackson State as well as Colorado. He would later decommit before joining UAB on National Signing Day.

Now, after a pair of seasons with the Blazers, Hall is one of 33 transfers from the program this offseason. Seven of those have entered during the spring cycle with Hall as the first to commit elsewhere.

Hall is now the latest portal pickup for the Tar Heels, this spring and this offseason, ahead of their debut year under Bill Belichick. He’s their eighth addition in this cycle alongside LB Mikai Gbayor (Missouri), QB Gio Lopez (South Alabama), WR Adrian Wilson (Colorado), RB Benjamin Hall (Michigan), WR Dayton Sneed (Tennessee), K Rece Verhoff (Marshall), and P Jacob Horvath (Eastern Illinois). That brings UNC to 50-plys total transactions in the portal with 28 additions offsetting 34 subtractions, five leaving this spring, in Chapel Hill amidst the coaching change to Belichick.

North Carolina, TCU moving 2026 season opener to Ireland

North Carolina and TCU have added a wrinkle to their season-opening showdown two seasons from now in 2025. That game will now be played in Ireland, per Adam Smith of ‘Inside Carolina’.

The showdown had been scheduled for September 5th, 2026. It’s slated to follow TCU visiting Chapel Hill to open this upcoming season in 2025, which will also serve as the debut of Bill Belichick for the Tar Heels. Now, North Carolina and TCU will play in Dublin instead with TCU being compensated well for the game being moved across the pond rather than them hosting in Forth Worth.

“The Tar Heels have negotiated compensation for TCU, sources confirmed, as a means of recouping the revenue that’s generated by a home football game,” Smith added.
