LOOK: UNC men's and women's basketball to wear Jordan Brand Luka Doncic first signature shoe
Luka Doncic may not have played college basketball, but he’s making his mark on the game via the shoe game.
After inking a deal with Jordan Brand, Doncic received his first signature shoe, which was revealed to be on the feet of the North Carolina Tar Heels this coming season. Check out Luka thanking the program for rocking his kicks, taking to Twitter to highlight the partnership.

“(Prayer hands emojis) @UNC_Basketball and @uncwbb for wearing the Luka 1 this season!” tweeted Doncic.
In addition to the Tar Heels, Doncic also revealed the Florida Gators will be strutting around in his signature shoe this coming season, as well. According to reports, more schools will be receiving team color way inspired versions of the Luka 1, but for now it’s all about the Tar Heels and the Gators.
The Luka 1 hit stores earlier this year after being in development for well over a year, and now the line is preparing to release their first “Bred” color way — one of the most famous color ways of Jordan Brand shoes. As you can see, Luka Doncic is making his name know in the shoe world after becoming a household name on the court, and there’s plenty more to come in the future.
North Carolina basketball unveils Final Four rings from remarkable 2022 NCAA Tournament run
Furthermore, no college basketball team the country has spent as much time in the Final Four as the North Carolina Tar Heels have during the program’s storied history. Last season, the ‘Heels went on a yet another remarkable run that ended all the way in the NCAA Tournament championship game against the Kansas Jayhawks.
While the Tar Heels lost in the final, their run was still full of many spectacular moments, including Caleb Love’sdagger against the Duke Blue Devils. Making it all the way to the NCAA Tournament championship game is still an incredible accomplishment, as there are never free passes handed out in March.

Check out the rings the basketball team got from their run to the 2022 Final Four.
Continuing, last year’s trip to the Final Four was the 21st in program history for the Tar Heels. The good news for Carolina fans is they return a ton of talent from last season to make yet another run this year.
Big man Armando Bacot is back, as is Caleb Love. The combination of those two players alone will present massive problems for college basketball teams across the country.
Bacot landed on the preseason first team All-American list for Chris Dortch’s Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook. Caleb Love landed on their preseason third team All-American list.
Both players are as advertised and are a big reason North Carolina earned the No. 1 overall spot in Blue Ribbon’s Preseason Top 25 Rankings for the 2022-2023 season.
