Former Washington linebacker Khmori House will transfer to play for North Carolina this upcoming season, On3’s Pete Nakos reported. House played just one year with the Huskies and will bring three years of eligibility with him to Chapel Hill.

The 6-foot-2 linebacker made quite an impact as a true freshman to appear in all 12 games. He finished with 35 total tackles, one interception, four passes defended and one forced fumble.

Khmori House attended St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, California, where he was unranked in the 2024 cycle. As a transfer, he ranks as the No. 138 overall player and No. 6 linebacker according to On3’s Transfer Portal Player Rankings.

North Carolina is entering a new era this upcoming season as it made a coaching change from Mack Brown to Bill Belichick. As such, plenty of turnover is expected on the Tar Heels roster through the transfer portal.

So far, they have seen 10 players exit the program while also bringing in 10 new faces to make up for those losses. That ranks them as the No. 47 team in On3’s Transfer Portal Team Rankings.

The portal officially opened on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024. More than 2,800 FBS scholarship players entered their names into the NCAA’s transfer database during the 2023-24 school year. Removing those who withdrew or went pro, the final total sat at 2,707 transfers.

Michigan kicker Adam Samaha commits to transfer to North Carolina

Michigan Wolverines kicker Adam Samaha has committed to transfer to the North Carolina Tar Heels, On3 has learned.

In two seasons with Michigan, Samaha saw limited playing time and took a redshirt for the 2023 season, making an extra point in his appearance that season. He has not yet attempted a field goal.

Samaha was an Academic All-Big Ten honoree in 2024 after earning a letterman as a freshman in 2023.

Coming out of high school at Huron in Michigan, Samaha was a three-star recruit in the Class of 2023, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. While in high school, he was the eighth-ranked kicker and the 2,136th-ranked recruit in his cycle.
