Bolingbrook (Ill.) four-star safety Damon Walters has committed to Northwestern, announcing the news Saturday on social media.

He is the highest-ranked verbal in the 2023 Wildcats recruiting class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

The On3 Consensus has Walters as the No. 373 overall recruit in the country.

Dearborn (Mich.) Divine Child four-star interior offensive lineman Dylan Senda is the other four-star prospect in the Northwestern recruiting class, which ranks 20th in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking.

Walters is the second Wildcats commit in two days after Owings Mills (Md.) McDonogh School three-star EDGE Mason Robinson announced his decision Friday.

The only other safety commit in the recruiting class right now is Lawndale (Calif.) Leuzinger three-star safety Jacob Lewis.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $12.4k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
