2025 4-star TE James Flanigan commits to Notre Dame
Green Bay (Wisc.) Notre Dame De La Baie Academy four-star tight end James Flanigan has committed to Notre Dame.
He chose the Fighting Irish over the likes of Wisconsin, Michigan and Penn State.
Flanigan is the No. 126 overall prospect and No. 4 TE in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in Wisconsin.

Flanigan is a legacy recruit for the Irish. His father, Jim Flanigan, was a defensive lineman for Notre Dame in the 1990s and played in the NFL from 1994-2203. James has taken multiple visits to South Bend, including a recent game visit on Oct. 14.

“They really want me there,” Flanigan told Blue and Gold. “I’m their No. 1 guy at tight end and then also D-end.”
He does not currently have an On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV).
