2025 safety Ethan Long commits to Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Greenwich (Conn.) Brunswick School 2025 three-star safety Ethan Long has announced his commitment to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Long chose the Irish over a host of Midwestern schools — Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Penn State.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Long visited Notre Dame more than any other school, including for a game day visit in September as the Irish faced Ohio State.
“It was unreal,” Long told Blue and Gold. “It was eye-opening. Just taking it all in and, walking through the crowd and watching the walk with the players was unbelievable. The experience was amazing. The green out when they turned off all the lights in the fourth quarter. Just how into it everyone was was just unbelievable. It’s definitely a game I’m going to remember.”
Long also has family connections to Notre Dame — growing up attending games to see his cousin, former Fighting Irish receiver Austin Webster, play in South Bend.
