4-star wideout Christian Hamilton locks in Notre Dame official visit
Four-star Harrisburg (N.C.) Hickory Ridge wide receiver Christian Hamilton has long been a target of schools in his home state. But next month he’ll head to the Midwest for an official visit at Notre Dame, he announced Sunday evening.
Hamilton is the No. 169 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 28 receiver and the No. 4 junior prospect in North Carolina.
He’s yet to visit Notre Dame publicly, but the Fighting Irish extended him an offer all the way back in March of last year. Since then, North Carolina and Clemson have pushed the hardest for him of any schools, each getting him on campus multiple times. Florida and South Carolina each hosted him in the past two months, with the Gators extending an offer on his visit.
Hamilton is yet to cut his list down, though. He made his first official visit last month to Texas A&M, but isn’t expected to announce his commitment until his birthday in October. The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder previously told On3 that his family would prefer he stays close to home. But more than anything, they want him to find a school that feels like home to him.
