Brady Quinn trolls Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart following Notre Dame win
Former Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn trolled Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart on Twitter with a post counting the days since USC last beat Notre Dame. Quinn works alongside Bush and Leinart as college football analysts for Fox, which Quinn called attention to after Fox College Football made a post discussing the schools’ rivalry.
Brady Quinn trolls Bush and Leinart
Notre Dame and USC have one of the most historic rivalries in college football, but recent history has gone the way of the Fighting Irish. Fox College Football shared a post before their game on Saturday highlighting the last ten meetings between the schools.
Notre Dame has won seven of the last ten matchups between the two, and the post made asked if they were going to add another win. Quinn didn’t skip on a chance to mention the post again after Notre Dame won 31-16 on Saturday.
“I know how painful this was for ALL our USC alums [at College Football on Fox] to post this. Go Irish! 1791 days and counting…”
Quinn’s post counted the number of days it has been since USC’s last victory over Notre Dame. With another win, Quinn’s tally of the days will go beyond 2,000 before their next time facing each other.

Quinn versus USC
From 2003-2006, Quinn went 0-4 against the Trojans, in the middle of an eight-game win streak for USC against Notre Dame. Quinn detailed his memories of the Pete Carroll era, and how things changed.
“Back then they were rolling,” said Quinn. “It’s been 1,790 days now since USC beat Notre Dame – Notre Dame has won the last three, I think six of the last eight – so it’s been a different deal. That’s how rivalries are, a lot of times you get the ebbs and flows of rivalries between two teams. And that was USC’s hay day. After Pete [Carroll] left, obviously, I think the S in USC [stood] for sanctions at that point. They haven’t really been able to recover since.”
Brady Quinn’s USC joke aside, the Notre Dame-USC features plenty ups and downs. With an all-time record of 47-5-36, the Fighting Irish lead the series, but USC has six win streaks of three games or more. In addition to Notre Dame’s series lead, it holds the longest win streak at 11, an era which ran from 1983-1993.
