Class of 2025 CB Cree Thomas commits to Notre Dame
Class of 2025 cornerback Cree Thomas of Phoenix (AZ) Brophy College Prep announced his commitment to Notre Dame Monday afternoon.
The 6-foot-1, 180 pounder chose the Fighting Irish over Wisconsin, Oregon, and Arizona.
“The first and most important thing that drew me to Notre Dame was that it is a Catholic school. Coming from a Jesuit High School, Notre Dame will help me continue to build my faith and my relationship with God. Secondly, I’ve been blessed to have many great mentors in my life, and I feel like Coach Freeman, Mickens, and the rest of the staff can help develop me not only on the field but off the field as well. Ever since I was a kid I dreamed of playing on the biggest stage, the atmosphere and rich tradition of Notre Dame will give me the opportunity to do just that.”
His relationship with the coaching staff and their plan for him played a role in his decision as well.
“I’m super close with Coach Mickens! Being my position coach we were always in contact and he has shown so much love throughout the entire process. Also got really close with Coach Bowden, Golden and Freeman! They see me playing Corner in College!”
