Four-Star RB Jayden Limar commits to Notre Dame
Four-star running back Jayden Limar of Lake Stevens (Wash.) High has announced his commitment to Notre Dame Thursday afternoon.
The 5-foot-11, 190 pounder chose the Fighting Irish over Arizona, Michigan, and Oregon.
Limar went in-depth on why he chose Notre Dame
“Honestly it was the relationship that I built with coach (Marcus) Freeman and Deland McCullough,” Limar said. “Freeman was coming after me heavily when there wasn’t a running back coach, and put them in the lead for me. Then coach Deland came in and sealed the deal. Overall, their school will set me up for the best future.”
Visit was reassuring for Limar
“My decision had actually been basically made before the visit, and the visit was great,” Limar said. “It just reassured me that I was making the right decision. All the people in South Bend are big football heads, so it was very cool being out there in that atmosphere.”
Jayden Limar joins coach Marcus Freeman and the No. 1 class in the On3 Consensus 2023 team rankings, alongside Keon Keeley, Peyton Bowen, and others.

Limar Scouting Summary
Jayden Limar has a well-rounded skill set at running back and had a productive junior year at Lake Stevens. Limar is shifty – he shows the ability to tempo his runs and change gears at the line of scrimmage and the second level. Limar brings some versatility as a pass catcher and is effective as a target in the screen and short passing game. He has solid speed with a 11.23 100 meter time and a 4.55 40-yard dash. Stylistically, Limar might remind Notre Dame fans of Kyren Williams and I could see him being used in a similar fashion in Tommy Rees’ offense.
He ranks as the No. 265 player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally-weighted industry generated average that accounts for all four major recruiting services. The 2023 prospect also tabs in at the No. 16 running back and the No. 4 player in the state of Washington.
