Four-Star RB Jeremiyah Love commits to Notre Dame
Four-star running back Jeremiyah Love of Saint Louis (MO) Christian Brothers College announced his commitment to Notre Dame Saturday afternoon.
The 6-foot-1, 195 pounder chose the Fighting Irish over Texas A&M and Michigan.
Love on why he chose Notre Dame
“What ultimately stood out in the end was the crazy amounts of love I received from the fans and I overall just think Notre Dame had just a little bit more to offer than the other schools,” Love said. “Their academics are outstanding and that was one of the biggest deciding factors in my recruitment. I think ND Is just the perfect fit for me and my family.”
Relationship with coaching staff stood out
“Another big deciding factor was the coaching staff,” Love said. “Coach Freeman and coach Mhaculla are amazing people and I think me and coach Mhaculla have a really good connection. When me and him talk football, it just flows very smoothly and the way he teaches the game is very simple. In the end all schools are going to have the same stuff, you just have to find those things that make a school stick out from others.”
Notre Dame’s plan for Love
“They pretty much want to use me anywhere that I can get the ball,” Love said. “I will be playing running back, wide receiver, be on punt and kick returns, and maybe even down the line I’ll play some corner. I can pretty much play any position I want to.”

Jeremiyah Love Scouting Summary
“One of the most explosive and dynamic backs in the 2023 cycle,” On3’s Director of Scouting Charles Power wrote. “Has a solid build for the position at 5-foot-11, 188 pounds. Ran 10.76 in the 100 meters and jumped a 22’01” long jump as a sophomore in 2021. Backed that up on the camp circuit in the spring prior to his senior year with an electronically-timed 4.48 second 40-yard dash to go with a 35-inch vertical as well as a 9’11” broad jump.”
“The speed and athleticism transfers over to the field on Friday nights. Led his team to a state championship as a junior and can score any time he touches the ball. Has true home run speed. Can make defenders whiff in a phone booth with his ability to change direction, as well. Possesses loose hips and plays with excellent pad level when working between the tackles. Rushed for 996 yards and 14 touchdowns on just 95 rushes as a junior. Efficient and hits big plays but has not carried the load of some of his highly-rated peers. Has the athleticism to play other spots, like defensive back but the big-play ability at running back points to one of the higher ceilings at the position among backs in the 2023 cycle.”Love ranks as the No. 62 player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that accounts all four major recruiting services. He also tabs in as the No. 5 running back and the No. 2 player in the state of Missouri.
