New 4-star running back Jeremiyah Love offered by Notre Dame

Not only is St. Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers College athlete Jeremiyah Love is rising up recruiting boards across the country, but he’s skyrocketing up the rankings as well. On the same day Love was minted as a four-star prospect by On3, he received another major offer, this time from Notre Dame.

In the past week, Love has added offers from Alabama, LSU, Louisville and Stanford. That adds to a long list that includes Oregon, Indiana, Missouri, Iowa, West Virginia, Nebraska, Purdue, Boston College, Vanderbilt, Iowa State, Tennessee, and others. A few of those schools have talked to Love about running track in college.

Along with his 996 yards and 14 touchdowns on 95 carries as a junior, Jeremiyah Love is one of the top track stars in Missouri. He won the Class 5 100-meter championship with a 10.76-second time. He also has a 22-foot-long jump.

He ranks as the No. 411 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also checks in as the country’s No. 31 running back and No. 10 prospect in Missouri.

On3 is significantly higher on him than the rest of the industry, though. The latest On300 rankings — released today — have Love as the No. 127 overall prospect, No. 5 running back and No. 3 prospect in the Show-Me State.

Jeremiyah Love will take visits in April, May

Jeremiyah Love still feels he’s being undervalued some by recruiters.

“I think a lot of schools are sleeping me likely because I don’t play in the Under Armour or USA football circuits,” he said. “I train with the best available. But whenever I travel and compete in combines, no one has topped my scores yet out of hundreds of athletes.”

Love is also taking an academic-first approach to his recruitment. While others are taking unofficial visits all over the country, he’s been mainly focused on preparing for upcoming ACT testing. So it’s no surprise that Stanford, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Vanderbilt and other high academic institutions are recruiting.

“I’m enrolled in ACT prep courses on the weekends until I take the test in April,” Love said. “I don’t know when I will be able to visit schools. But most likely I will start back visiting in April or May.”

He has previously tripped to Kansas and Missouri, but with the explosion in his recruitment, a number of schools could be in line to host him over the next few months.
