Notre Dame Basketball: Parker Friedrichsen commits to Irish
Bixby (Okla.) High four-star recruit Parker Friedrichsen tells On3 has committed to Notre Dame.
Friedrichsen, 6-foot-4 class of 2023 shooting guard, ultimately chose the Fighting Irish over Nebraska and Davidson. He also received offers from Northwestern, Rice, Memphis, Missouri, Xavier, Cincinnati, and others. Friedrichsen was also previously committed to Oklahoma State.
The talented shotmaker is Notre Dame’s third commitment to the class. He joins Brady Dunlap and Markus Burton.
Friedrichsen is the No. 123 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 30 shooting guard and the No. 2 player in the state of Oklahoma. On3’s evaluators are slightly higher than the industry on Friedrichsen, ranking him 104th nationally.

Friedrichsen on his commitment to Notre Dame
“I chose Notre Dame because of the belief the coaching staff had in me and how guards like me fit in their system,” Friedrichsen said to On3. “I have a chance to go play in the ACC for a great program and I get to play for a great staff.”
What type of player is Notre Dame getting in Parker Friedrichsen?
“A scoring guard that can play both guard spots,” he says. “I can play with or without the ball but I will make shots and make plays for my teammates. Ultimately, I’m a winner and a hard worker.”
Friedrichsen has a message for Irish fans.
“I can’t wait to get to work for the fans and continue to win a lot of games and compete for an ACC and national championship. Go Irish!”
