Notre Dame offers 4-star EDGE Desmond Umeozulu
Notre Dame has extended an offer to Upper Marlboro (Md.) Charles Herbert Flowers four-star EDGE Desmond Umeozulu.
Umeozulu is the No. 124 overall prospect in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
On3 considers him a top-100 recruit, placing him at No. 83 in the 2023 On300 ranking. That makes him the 13th-best EDGE in the class and the No. 1 player from the state of Maryland.
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $8.6k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

The Fighting Irish currently have nine commits in their 2023 recruiting class, which ranks second in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking.
The class is headlined by five-star EDGE Keon Keeley, who is the No. 3 overall recruit in the On300. On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power recently compared Keeley to Oregon star Kayvon Thibodeaux.
“Thibodeaux’s ability to dip and bend also separated himself among his peers as a high school prospect,” Power said. “We see the same from Keeley at this stage. Keeley’s curvilinear movement, along with his 6-foot-6, 230-pound frame and elite production make him an obvious five-star in our opinion.”
