Notre Dame trending for 2025 4-star QB Bear Bachmeier
One of the nation’s best quarterbacks has a new leader in his recruitment, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). Notre Dame is now trending for Murrieta (Calif.) Valley four-star quarterback Bear Bachmeier in the RPM.
An expert prediction was entered Monday in favor of the Irish by Notre Dame recruiting insider Mike Singer. Singer posted his pick with a 60% confidence level that the Irish will land Bachmeier’s commitment. Notre Dame now sits with a comfortable lead in the RPM at a 94.9% chance for Bachmeier.
Bachmeier is set to visit Notre Dame this weekend, and according to a Singer a decision could be coming before the end of September.
Bachmeier is the nation’s No. 111 overall prospect and No. 9 quarterback in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 12 player in California.
Of all the major recruiting services, On3 ranks him the highest at No. 102 nationally in the 2025 On300.

Bachmeier currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $133,000. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
More on Notre Dame quarterback recruiting
Singer had this to say about Notre Dame’s quarterback offer sheet in the 2025 class.
“Notre Dame has offered eight quarterbacks in the 2025 class, but due to those prospects committing to other schools, not showing much interest in the Irish or — in at least one case — the ND staff moving on, position coach Gino Guidugli and Co. are down to just two signal-callers,” Singer wrote.
“Bachmeier is one of them, and the other is Nashville (Tenn.) Lipscomb Academy’s Deuce Knight, who ranks as the No. 39 passer and No. 3 quarterback according to the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. Knight has previously visited Notre Dame twice, occurring in early April and at the end of July. He’s also expected to visit Notre Dame this fall.”
