Notre Dame quarterback Sam Hartman trolls USC after win

Maybe Notre Dame taking down USC is a huge surprise. Marcus Freeman‘s team has been incredibly battle-tested this season and was playing in front of a good home crowd. What will catch some attention is how much the Fighting Irish won by, never really having a problem through four quarters.
Sam Hartman did not have too big of an impact, with the Notre Dame defense really being the star of the show. He was still going to have fun with the moment, though. Transferring into the program and having just one season in South Bend, Hartman is going to soak in every moment of the USC rivalry.
Following the game, Hartman was seen taking the USC ‘Fight On’ hand signal and turning it upside down. Similar to what you would see with the classic ‘Horns Down,’ Hartman seemed to enjoy trolling the Trojans in front of a crowd of fans.
You can check out the photo of Hartman here.
Hartman was not needed too much against USC and not in a bad way. He attempted just 20 passes, completing 13 of them for 126 yards and two touchdowns. A serviceable night and one you will take 10 times out of 10. When the defense is rolling against the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, it’s a successful game.
As for how much Sam Hartman gets to enjoy the win, Freeman will allow Notre Dame to have some time to celebrate. Usually, by Sunday night, the previous game has to be flushed out of their mind. But coming up with an open date, there is room for a little bit more fun.

There will be no game preparation when waking up in the morning. It will still be smiles on the faces across the athletic facility, remembering the blowout win against USC.
“We’re going into a bye week,” Freeman said during his postgame interview with NBC. “So, we’re going to take a little bit of time and enjoy this. Usually, I say 24 hours. It might be 48 hours on this one. Let’s enjoy it.”
So, party on, South Bend. Hartman is going to be there with you along the way. When you transfer into a program, these are the type of games you expect to win — even if Notre Dame likely is not in the race for the College Football Playoff anymore. It has to be an incredible feeling for him.
