WATCH: Tommy Tremble runs for a 7-yard touchdown
Carolina Panthers rookie tight end Tommy Tremble got his first NFL touchdown Thursday night. He scored on a 7-yard touchdown run against the Houston Texans.
Check out the video below and look at him show off his wheels.
The touchdown run extended the Panthers lead to 14-6 with over six minutes left in the third quarter. Tremble also had a 30-yard catch later in the contest Thursday night.
Notre Dame bio
Tremble finished his Notre Dame career with 35 catches for 401 receiving yards, while bringing in four touchdowns. In 2020, he hauled in 19 catches for 218 receiving yards and no touchdowns. He snagged two catches for 41 yards in the ACC Championship Game, too.
The rehab from his ankle injury in high school cost him a chance to play as a true freshman at Notre Dame.
He made his name in South Bend as a run blocker, earning the No. 1 blocking grade amongst all FBS tight ends from Pro Football Focus.

His top-notch ability as a run blocker was a big thing that helped propel the Fighting Irish to the College Football Playoff last season.
High school bio
Tremble was a former three-star prospect coming out of Wesleyan School in Norcross, Georgia. His father, Greg Tremble, played defensive back for the Georgia Bulldogs. Greg Tremble started 22 games for the Bulldogs, hauling in six interceptions and one touchdown.
Panthers injuries
The Carolina Panthers have been hit with a number of injuries on Thursday night, as running back Christian McCaffrey exited the game early with a hamstring. One of the top rookie cornerbacks in the NFL, Jaycee Horn, also left early with an injury as well. Thursday night has not been a good night for the Carolina Panthers and their training staff.
