2023 IOL Luke Montgomery commits to Ohio State

Four-star interior offensive lineman Luke Montgomery has committed to the University of Ohio State, he tells On3.
The 6-foot-5, 260 pounder out of Findlay, Ohio held 25 division one offers. Montgomery ultimately chose Ohio State over Michigan, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and Clemson.
Montgomery ranks four stars and 35th in the 2023 On3 Consensus, which is an industry-generated average that accounts for all four major recruiting services. He comes in at 3rd overall for interior offensive linemen. Montgomery is also the number one player in the state of Ohio.

The Montgomery Brothers
Luke is not the only gifted football player in the family. Luke’s younger brother, Ryan Montgomery, is a 2025 quarterback who already holds an offer himself from Ohio State. He also holds offers from Penn State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, and Toledo. According to On3’s Jeremy Johnson, LSU and Georgia also have shown interest.
Ryan Montgomery believes his recruitment is a step ahead of the game.
“I’m definitely a step ahead of the game because of my brother he’s had all these looks. I have a starting point because I’ve been to all of the places he’s been. I’ve taken a lot from these schools already.” Ryan Montgomery told On3’s, Jeremey Johnson.
Will Luke be blocking for Ryan one day in Columbus? Only time will tell.
