2024 safety Leroy Roker commits to Ohio State
Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot three-star safety Leroy Roker has committed to Ohio State.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder chose the Buckeyes while also holding offers from the likes of Miami and Iowa.
Roker is the No. 114 safety and No. 161 player in Florida in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

The Buckeyes moved quick, as they offered the safety on Oct. 3, then got him to campus for an official visit last weekend. Iowa was originally trending for Roker heading into October, but safeties coach Perry Eliano and secondary coach Tim Walton led Ohio State’s recruitment and helped seal the deal.
“Roker is a new name on the board for Ohio State fans, but is someone that Perry Eliano has had his eye on for some time,” Lettermen Row’s Alex Gleitman wrote. The Fort Myers (FL) Bishop Verot star is what you would call somewhat of a late bloomer, landing a number of offers in the past month after video of his strong senior campaign hit recruiting offices across the country.”

Roker does not currently have an On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
Roker adds to Ohio State’s elite 2024 class
Roker becomes the 22nd pledge in the 2024 cycle for Ryan Day and Co. The Buckeyes’ class ranks No. 2 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking.
