Opelika (Ala.) four-star defensive lineman Malik Autry committed to Auburn in February of last year. He remains committed to the Tigers, but has continued to take visits to programs around the country.

Currently, Autry has official visits set for UCF (May 31), USC (June 7), Florida (June 14) and Oregon (June 21).

Today, he’s in Columbus visiting Ohio State.

Autry is the nation’s No. 181 overall prospect, No. 15 defensive lineman and No. 14 recruit from Alabama in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

‘Auburn is where I want to be’

Autry visited Auburn again in March and reaffirmed his pledge to the Tigers.

“Man, Auburn is home for me,” he told Auburn Live. “I’ll still take my visits and stuff, but ultimately Auburn is where I want to be. That’s just kind of what it is.

“A lot of guys decommitting, but one of the guys that decommitted is back here today. I think everybody knows what Auburn is and everybody is worried about the Coach Garrett situation, but once people realize what Coach King-Williams can do and that he’s going to be here for a while, I think everybody will come back full circle.”

Autry also mentioned that he’s working to bring others into the class.

“It was great,” he said. “It was my first time seeing Coach (Vontrell) King in action and it was good to see him going and see the energy, sit in the meetings and see the defense and what D.J. Durkin has installed. It was great overall, and it was a good recruiting day.

“I’ve been working on a lot of people. We just got (Tavaris) Dice(Alvin) Henderson just dropped his top five, so hopefully we get him soon. (Eric) Winters(Zion) Grady. I don’t want to put no dates out there, but I think they’re going to come here pretty soon.”
