Dwayne Haskins: Heartbreaking 911 audio released following the tragic death of quarterback
Heartbreaking 911 audio from the morning of the tragic passing of former Ohio State and NFL quarterback Dwayne Haskins has been brought to light. On Wednesday, Andy Slater of FOX Sports and iHeartRadio tweeted out the audio, with one of the calls from Haskins’ concerned wife who was in Pittsburgh at the time, Kalabrya Haskins.

The football world is continuing to mourn the loss of Haskins, honoring his life at multiple stops along his career. In the immediate aftermath of the news, a shrine was built by Ohio State faithful in tribute to Haskins. Since, similar celebrations of the quarterback’s life have been seen in Pittsburgh, where Haskins was readying for his second season with the Steelers.
Additionally, the Buckeyes made Haskins a priority during their spring game last weekend. Among multiple tributes, current Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud donned Haskins jersey throughout the game. Haskins was an inspiration to Stroud, and the star Buckeyes quarterback has been attempting to follow in his footsteps.
The hurt of the sudden loss Dwayne Haskins won’t dissipate anytime soon, but the football world can continue to celebrate the life of not just a special quarterback, but a special person.
Dwayne Haskins’ wife clarifies date, times for official services
This weekend, the family of former Ohio State and Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins will be celebrated and honored. On Tuesday, Haskins’ wife, Kalabrya Haskins, released more information on the official services for husband, providing those details through Steelers Director of Communications Burt Lauten.

“I want to thank everyone for their continuous outpour of kindness and love for my husband during this extremely difficult time,” Kalabrya Haskins said. “For those that have asked for clarity, regarding official services, there will be a public celebration of life for my husband, Dwayne Haskins, Jr., where his legacy will be honored with stories told from teammates, coaches, friends, family and loved ones.
“Visitation will be Friday, April 22nd, from 9-11 a.m. with a full service immediately following from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Allegheny Center Alliance Church in Pittsburgh, Pa. Flowers are being accepted at the church.”
Steelers fans have already tried to honor Haskins, who was set to return to the team again this season. Over the weekend, Steelers fans created a memorial at Heinz Field for Haskins outside one of the stadium’s gates.
