Former Ohio State running back Master Teague makes undrafted free agency decision
Ohio State running back Master Teague has signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent, On3’s Matt Zenitz reported. Despite not being taken within the first seven rounds of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Buckeyes star will aim to prove himself NFL ready in training camp.
Teague was a member of three Big Ten Championship teams during his time in Columbus, as well as two squads that made a trip to the College Football Playoff. He was a regular contributor in the backfield throughout that time, ending his college career with 1,764 yards and 17 touchdowns on 5.5 yards per carry. His best year came during the 2020 season, when he rushed for 514 yards and eight touchdowns on 104 carries to earn second-team All-Big Ten honors
A former four-star recruit in 2018, Teague ranked as the No. 12 running back and No. 187 overall player in the class according to On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average.

NFL.com scouting report on Ohio State running back Master Teague
Teague played behind running backs such a JK Dobbins and TreVeyon Henderson in his career in Columbus, which limited his opportunities somewhat. Make no mistake, however, the Buckeyes back still has what it takes to be a threat in the NFL.
According to NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein, Teague’s biggest strength is his combination of size and speed.
“Teague is a big, upright runner with great size but average power through contact,” Zierlein wrote in his analysis. “A lack of burst, elusiveness and vision makes him easy to find for opposing linebackers and that is unlikely to change in the league. Teague’s rare blend of size, speed and explosiveness at his pro day could garner priority free agent attention but he’s a “get what’s blocked” runner, which means it will be an uphill battle for him to make an NFL roster.”
