Former Syracuse safety Ja'Had Carter commits to Ohio State
Former Syracuse safety Ja’Had Carter has picked his transfer destination, and it’s in the Big Ten. Carter will leave Syracuse, NY, and the ACC to head to Columbus, OH, after committing to Ohio State for the 2023 season.
Carter was a three-year starter at safety for the Orange. He had 138 tackles, five interceptions and seven pass breakups while at Syracuse.
Carter played high school football at Jireh Prep, where he was a three-star prospect, in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Track transfer portal activity
The NCAA Transfer Portal, which covers every NCAA sport at the Division I, II and III levels, is a private database with names of student-athletes who wish to transfer. It is not accessible to the public.
While the NCAA transfer portal database is private, the On3 Network has streamlined the reporting process tracking player movement.
