Four-Star CB Blake Woodby commits to Ohio State

Four-star cornerback Blake Woodby of Baltimore (MD) St. Frances Academy announced his commitment to Ohio State Saturday afternoon.
The 5-foot-11, 178 pounder chose the Buckeyes over Oregon.
“The fact that they develop their players for the next level and coach Walt likes corners my size,” Woodby said when asked what stood out about Ohio State.
His relationship with the coaching staff and their plan for him stood out as well.
“My relationship with coach Walt and the other coaches on staff is great. I would probably say that I’m closest with coach Walt and coach Perry. They plan on using me like they use Denzel Burke in their defense.”
The Old Line State defensive back joins coach Ryan Day and the Buckeyes’’ 2025 class. He is accompanied by four-star quarterback Tavien St. Clair, three-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs, and others.
