Four-star cornerback Miles Lockhart of Chandler (AZ) Basha High announced his commitment to Ohio State Thursday afternoon.

The 5-foot-11, 190 pounder chose the Buckeyes over Oregon and Texas A&M.

Lockhart on why he chose Ohio State

“I would say my relationships with them were really unmatched to every other school, when I’m there it really feels like home and they treat me like it. I would also say just the tradition of putting out great corners, and competing against the best everyday.”

Relationship with coaching staff stood out + their plan for him

“I have a very good relationship with Walton. We text all the time and it doesn’t even have to be about football really just anything. And me and (Ryan) Day also have a strong relationship too which was huge for me as he’s the head coach. And they plan on using me in that nickel position.”

The Arizona defensive back joins coach Ryan Day and the Buckeyes’ No. 2 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, four-star quarterback Air Noland, and others.
