2023 4-star linebacker Jaiden Ausberry visiting Ohio State
Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab linebacker Jaiden Ausberry is one of Ohio State’s biggest targets in the 2023 class, and he’ll be on campus this weekend.
Ausberry, the No. 77 overall player in the 2023 On300 rankings, tweeted Tuesday that he’ll be in Columbus for the Buckeyes’ showdown with No. 20 Penn State.
He adds to an already massive confirmed visitor list that includes 2022 four-star Hero Kanu (No. 189), 2024 four-star quarterback Adrian Posse, and 2024 wide receiver Jeremiah Smith.
Jaiden Ausberry is high on Ohio State
Despite having a father who works in LSU’s athletic administration, Ausberry has been seriously impressed with Ohio State since the Buckeyes offered him a scholarship in June. He told Lettermen Row that despite Columbus being a long ways from Louisiana, it felt like home.

“Their staff makes it feel like I’m at home,” Ausberry said in June. “My dad and I really enjoyed talking to [Ryan] Day. We had a really good, positive conversation. What stood out about him was his passion for his players and the game.”
The Buckeyes are one of 19 offers Jaiden Ausberry has already received. Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Texas A&M are among the others that have extended offers to the 6-foot-2, 205-pounder. In July, Ausberry included Ohio State in his top 10, along with Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas, Texas A&M and USC.
As a sophomore in 2020, he led University Lab’s defense with 80 total tackles and 12 sacks. His brother, Austin Ausberry, is a coveted 2022 prospect with offers from Auburn, Alabama, Florida, LSU, Notre Dame and Michigan.
