Four-star tight end Damarion Witten of Cleveland (OH) Glenville High announced his commitment to Ohio State Saturday night.

The 6-foot-4, 215 pounder chose the Buckeyes over Oregon, Kentucky, and others.

Witten on why he chose Ohio State

“The coaching staff really stood out to me the most,” Witten said. “The way they are treating me and my family is great. I also love the way the TE coaches are active with the team.”

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for Witten

“I am close with Coach Kee the most just because we have been in contact since he got the job,” Witten said. “He plans on using me how they use Cade but more.”

What it means to stay home

“It means a lot,” Witten said. “Just me staying home and playing for all the fans in Columbus it’s a blessing. I’ve been dreaming about this since I was a baby, and you know what the actual saying is “THE BEST IN OHIO STAYS IN OHIO.”
