Zephyrhills (Fla.) Wiregrass Ranch wide receiver Bryson Rodgers has committed to Ohio State, he announced Sunday on social media.

Rodgers is the No. 261 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 41 wide receiver and the No. 51 junior prospect in Florida.

The Industry Comparison shows On3 is higher on Rodgers than the rest of the recruiting industry, though. In the most recent On300 rankings, Rodgers was tabbed as the country’s No. 171 prospect, No. 28 wide receiver and No. 38 prospect in Florida.

He chose the Buckeyes over offers from Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Auburn, Penn State and a number of others.

Originally from Warren, Ohio, Rodgers made two visits to Ohio State this spring. The first, just about five weeks ago, positioned the Buckeyes as the leader in his recruitment. The second was just more proof that he was heading in the right direction.

“First, it’s the organization,” Rodgers told Lettermen Row. “The organization at Ohio State isn’t like anywhere else. From the coaches to the recruiting people to the social media people. Then it’s the purpose. Ohio State has a purpose. Yes, it’s to win championships — national championships, Big Ten championships — but it’s more than that. It’s all about being on the same page.”
