Idaho State EDGE transfer Logan George has committed to Ohio State, he announced Monday afternoon via X. George had been with Idaho State for the last two seasons but is now making a huge jump up to the FBS level. A nice pickup for Ryan Day and the Buckeyes for the 2025 season as their 2024 campaign rolls on.

“Thankful to announce my commitment to The Ohio State University,” George said. “I’m looking forward to what the future has in store.”

George played in and started all 12 Idaho State games this season, completely wrecking the line of scrimmage. He recorded 57 tackles, 19.5 tackles for a loss, and 6.5 sacks. Incredible numbers for George as he is one of the more productive players in the portal.

While only two seasons were spent at Idaho State, the career began as a preferred walk-on at Utah State. George was not ranked coming out of high school at Pocatello (ID) Highland. Getting a shot with the Aggies eventually led him to the FCS level and now with Ohio State.

Quite the journey for George as he hopes to end his college career on a positive note. And now, there will be an opportunity to watch his future team compete for a national championship in the College Football Playoff.

Ohio State lands Big Ten tight end out of transfer portal

Former Purdue tight end Max Klare, the No. 1-rated TE according to the On3 Industry Transfer Portal Rankings, has committed to transfer to Ohio State, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

The 6-foot-4, 245-pound Klare, the No. 13 overall player in the portal according to On3’s Industry Rankings, chose his homestate Buckeyes over offers from LouisvilleMichiganTexas and Texas A&M.

Klare played in all 12 of Purdue’s games this season. He finished the year with team-highs of 51 receptions, 685 receiving yards and four touchdowns. In the 2023 campaign, Klare appeared in five games and made four starts before suffering a season-ending injury.

In his limited time on the field, Klare left an impression, racking up 22 receptions for 196 yards. The 6-foot-4 standout only played in one game in his true freshman season in 2022 before opting to redshirt.
