Jake Diebler identifies where Ohio State improved in win over Washington

The Ohio State Buckeyes destroyed the Washington Huskies on Wednesday evening. The Buckeyes jumped out to an early 15-point lead at halftime, and the rout was officially on. The Huskies never came remotely close, as Ohio State rolled to a 93-69 beatdown in Big Ten play. Following the game, OSU head coach Jake Diebler discussed the areas where his team improved in the postgame press conference.
“I felt like we took a step forward defensively. Specifically, rebounding. Our rim, our presence in the paint was better. Our physicality was better. On the defensive side,” Diebler explained.
“Offensively, I thought we shared it well. We played with force and physicality on offense, too,” Diebler continued. “You know we were able to get to the free throw line more than our opponent, which was a nice change. And you know, we got out in transition. We weren’t perfect in our transition attack. Certainly, left some points out there. We got out and played with good pace. Our pace was good in the outlet. We hit half of them, so I felt like that those are the areas specifically, just kind of in real time. We’ll see, go back and watch film, but real time, that’s what it felt like. We took a step forward,” Diebler finished.
