St. Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers College four-star wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan has been one of the major standouts this weekend at the Overtime OT7 Finals in Los Angeles.

After a stellar performance on Day 1, he was named On3’s MVP. On Day 2, he made a handful more impressive plays and has continued to put on a show for California Power, which is 5-0 in pool play action. McClellan has established himself as one of the nation’s top prospects, and he has the offers to back it up.

As he works closer to a decision, McClellan is trending toward Ohio State, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). An official visit to Oregon remains, but the Buckeyes now hold a 91.2 percent chance of securing his commitment, per the RPM.

“Commitment has crossed my mind, but I am not there yet,” McClellan told On3’s Chad Simmons this week at OT7. “I will visit Oregon (June 23-25), then take some time and see how I feel. There is no real timeline for my decision yet, but I still feel confident that it will be before my senior year. It will be when I feel the time is right. I have to go off that gut feeling and go where I feel is best for me in the long run.”

Ohio State official visit confirmed what McClellan knew about the Buckeyes

After visiting in-state Missouri in late May and taking an official visit to LSU the next weekend, he was back at Ohio State on June 9. His latest trip to Columbus was another impressive one, including getting to spend time with Ohio State’s loaded receivers group.

“The best part of this visit was getting to talk with the players,” McClellan said. “Marvin Harrison, Emeka Egbuka, Brandon Inniss, Carnell Tate and Julian Humphrey all spent time with me. It was great to hear from them about the culture, what life is like there and how things are for the players.

Harrison in particular pitched the development and production of OSU’s recent receivers and how McClellan could succeed there.

“Marvin talked to me about the development there. He kept it real with me and talked about trusting the coaches and how the 1% of the 1% of the 1% make it to where we all want to go,” he said. “He was saying that Ohio State can help get me there. The best of the best comes out of Ohio State, so hearing it from him was important for me. He and the other receivers helped me understand the culture there and I love it.”

The 5-foot-11, 192-pounder is the No. 117 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 20 wide receiver and the No. 4 prospect in Missouri.
