Ohio State may be over 2,000 ways away from where Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei 2025 four-star running back Jordon Davison but that hasn’t slowed in his interest in the Buckeyes. Davison has visited Columbus three or four times already and is set to return once again this weekend.

Davison told On3 that he’ll be back at Ohio State on June 11 for an unofficial visit.

“I keep going back because of the environment they have over there and just the relationships i have with the coaches,” Davison told On3. “I communicate with Coach (Tony) Alford a lot we have a great relationship, he’s a great person and always keeps it real with me. This time i will just look forward to sitting down and actually learning from coach Alford and letting my family see it for the first time.”

The 5-foot-11, 210-pound tail back is the No. 35 overall prospect and No. 3 running back in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 5 player in California.

USC and Texas are the two favorites in Davison’s recruitment up to this point according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). The Trojans sit with a 48.4% chance to land his pledge while Texas sits not too far behind at 40.4%.

Those two schools along with Georgia and Ohio State have hosted Davison more than any others as well.

Despite the RPM having Texas and USC at the top, Davison hasn’t announced his list of top schools yet. However, he notes that the Buckeyes are right there in the mix.

“My interest is high for sure, Davison said. “They are one of my top schools.”
