LOOK: Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud rocks red suit, No. 7 chain for Heisman ceremony
Beyond handing out the award for “the most outstanding” player in college football, the Heisman Trophy ceremony has become something of a platform for the finalists to strut some style. Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud is no different.
After sporting a dark, neutral three-piece suit with Ohio State lining for the ceremony when he was a finalist in 2021, Stroud has upped the flash factor this time around.
In photos posted by the Ohio State football twitter account, Stroud is wearing a three-piece suit cut from red fabric with a white windowpane pattern. A black tie is contrasted with a jewel-encrusted “7” hanging from an equally eye-grabbing chain.
The pocket square and gold watch are nice touches, too.
USC quarterback Caleb Williams wins the Heisman Trophy
Williams won the Heisman Trophy Saturday night after putting up huge numbers as a sophomore this year. Not only did the Walter Camp Player of the Year throw for 4,075 yards and 37 touchdowns, but he also rushed for 372 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground to cement himself as a true dual-threat.
Williams burst onto the scene last year at Oklahoma as a true freshman after taking over as the starting quarterback. But after head coach Lincoln Riley left the Sooners for the Trojans, Williams followed his coach after entering the transfer portal and starred under the bright lights of Los Angeles.
